Introduction

 

Chemistry course is offered starting at F.3 level where students will be taught the linkage between phenomena in the macroscopic world and the interaction of atoms, molecules and ions in the microscopic world.

Starting from F.4, the study of chemistry will be more related to the HKDSE Chemistry syllabus where students will pursue studies in selected areas like physical chemistry, inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry and analytical chemistry.

Throughout the chemistry course, an integration of practical work and theoretical study would allow students to put what they learnt in theory into practice.

Almost all chemistry lessons are arranged to take place in the laboratories, where students will form groups to facilitate practical work, group discussions and sharing.  Students with higher abilities and strengths can act as role models and leaders to help other students.
