Introduction

History is offered to the students at both junior and senior levels.  The study of history at the senior secondary level is based upon knowledge and skills that students have acquired at the junior secondary level.
The study of history helps our students to understand the human world through enquiring into its roots in the past.  It also helps them to develop high-order thinking skills such as historical interpretation and analysis which enables them to appreciate where they stand in the long flow of human history.  Last but not least, it helps them to develop a global perspective and respect for different perspectives and other cultures.
To attain these aims, a great variety of learning activities are incorporated into learning and teaching of the subject.
