Kick-off Ceremony for the Service Learning Program

The Kick-off Ceremony for the Service Learning Program was held in the School Hall on Wednesday, October 4. The programme aims to provide opportunities for all Form Four students to participate in a wide range of community service.

 

As a highlight of the event, all students in the school hall eagerly approached the counters to sign up for their favorite service learning activities, including:

·         helping in charity fairs,

 

·         flag selling,

 

·         telling stories to kindergarten pupils,

 

·         food parcel packing,

 

·         distributing food and staples to the needy,

 

·         elderly visits,

 

·         Chinese New Year celebration with the elderly,

 

·         Chinese New Year gift preparation for the elderly,

 

·         video making,

 

·         beach cleanup,

 

·         helping in Inter-school Athletics Meet,

 

·         drawing maps for medical humanitarian work in the remote areas,

 

·         service day at Cross Road (international NGO), and

 

·         preparing boxes of staples for the needy (Box of Hope)

 

It is hoped that the Service Learning Programme serves as a starting point for students to taste the joy and blessing in helping others in need.
